New Hanover County committed to building a grocery store in a marginalized USDA LILA neighborhood in Wilmington, NC. The county joined forces with a local community group, and seven roots was honored to serve in support, advising and design roles for the public-private development team.

We teamed up with these folks on site and business feasibility analysis, partnership agreement development, as well as ongoing project strategy and organizational development, before moving into early retail grocery design with a cross-functional architectural design team.

Currently in a strategic development pause, this project is ongoing.
